New Bangor Blue Slate Roof Dublin
Irish Roofers recently installed an extensive new roof using new blue Bangor slates on a property in Cross Ave Co, Dublin.
We used a natural slate to match in with the adjoining roofing systems, and to keep the original look and feel of roofing on the properties in the surrounding area.
Natural roof slate is a dense fine-grained metamorphic rock roofing produced by the compression of various sediments (such as clay or shale) that can be easily divided into thin pieces. It is frequently grey in color, especially when seen en mass covering roofs. Interestingly, these roof slate occurs in a variety of colors even from a single locality. Natural slate is probably the best roofing material in the world.
Not only is it a good quality roofing material, but it will outlast other cheaper roofing materials. It can outlive the lifetime of it’s building once it is installed correctly. The market for second hand slates proves this. This natural slate retains its color and although it may weather with age, it will not fade. Irish roofers striped the old roof completely and supplied a completely new blue Bangor slate roof on this house.
